37 Week DR. Appt.

Yesterday, I had my 37 wk checkup. I am FINALLY dialated to 2 and baby is "way down" but no contractions, just constant uncomfortable pain. I can finally breathe because he has finally dropped.... I am guessing March 11th.... we will see!

Our weekends

This past weekend was filled with rain and gloom hence the playing inside. Dad was a good sport and played "horsey" with Charlie... a new favorite

Movie night is also a new favorite.. Charlie LOVES making and eating popcorn... but ONLY if he gets his own bowl and juice Cup- apple preferably but anything with sugar will do!. He sits on the couch and seriously watches.... doesn't matter what is on the screen so we have to make sure it is "age appropriate."

Look at all those teeth! I am pretty sure this little guy can eat a steak by now- quite the chompers. We were playing around with the camera after dinner because I had some requests for new pictures of Charlie and my belly. These days, if you say "where's the baby?" Charlie will pull up the shirt of the closest person and point to their stomach. If there is no one close, he will pull his own shirt up and point to his. In our attempt to get him ready for the new arrival, we have been talking about the baby a lot and showing him my stomach, which makes him laugh. I am pretty sure this has cause him some confusion and he thinks that baby = stomach. We got him this stuffed dog and have been teaching him "nice" and "gentle" with it because Nate definitely doesn't want him anywhere near a doll (which was my suggestion).

36 Week Appointment

I went to the Dr. yesterday (36 week appt) and there is NOTHING NEW. I would have sworn I was at least dialated... N-O-T-H-I-N-G! It's going to be a long haul. She expects him to be about 8.5 lbs. One lbs bigger than Charlie.....

First Post

The look on Charlie's face when he opened his Christmas gifts this year was priceless! He received so many great gifts....

tons of books, a bowling set (pictured), a "dog" (fake furry thing that moves and barks), and a TRICYCLE- one of the old-fashioned metal radio flyers. He is currently using it as a scooter because he doesn't know how to petal. He looks like a bobble head with his helmet on, but he does LOVE to run around the house with it on and crash into Dad and the couch.

Obviously this is our first post and I am trying to get the hang of it. Waking up at 4 AM every morning really does lend itself to learning the world of blogging. January 09 was a slow month. Grandma and Grandpa did come to visit in the beginning, which was the highlight of the month. We did have some great weather which allowed us to play outside alot and run up and down the street, finally,allowing us to meet our neighbors after two year of living here.

March 17th (or so) can't come faster (or can it?) I feel like I am as big as a house... Nate will testify =) I AM bigger than I was with Charlie. My belly button is bulging and I can't breathe. Running after a toddler makes this pregnancy SO DIFFERENT-- It has flown by. Today (Feb, 18) I am 36 weeks and 1 day and I have a dr. appt today... we will see. Anyway~ Have a great day.
